FAQs
What is the quarantine process?
The fish arrive, and are placed in clean tanks for assessment. After letting them adjust, we add copper to the water. This acts as a treatment for Marine Ich and velvet, the two most common, contagious and often deadly pathogens found on fish. The fish are held in therapeutic copper levels for a minimum of 14 days, while also being treated for protozoan and bacterial disease with Formalin. Once out of quarantine, fish are monitored in a medication-free environment while they recover from treatment. All of our fish will only leave the shop after being adapted to aquarium life, and eating frozen foods.
What is your dead on arrival policy?
If a fish is DOA, store credit will be issued for the exact amount of the deceased livestock. A photo of the deceased fish in the sealed bag must be provided within 1 hour of delivery to be issued a credit.
