Acclimation Guide
What should I do when I receive my fish?
Step 1:
Make sure the fish looks alright in the bag, then float the bag in your tank to acclimate for temperature. Leave the bag floating for 30 minutes. Ideally your aquarium lights should be off during the acclimation process to reduce stress.
Step 2:
Transfer the fish into a container/bucket with the bag water. We like to ship with a slightly lower salinity (around 1.022) to help with ammonia build up during transit.
Step 3:
Ammonia from shipping must be neutralized in order to keep the fish safe during drip acclimation. Add the provided Water Conditioner to the container with your fish.
To drip acclimate, use a small piece of tubing, and tie a not to restrict the flow. With this tube, start a siphon from the tank, into your container with the fish. Aim for 2-4 drops a second, and allow the water to drip for 30-40 minutes, or until the salinity of the container matches the salinity of the tank.
After this is complete, transfer the fish into your tank WITHOUT introducing any of the water from the container.

DO NOT pour any of the water from shipping into your tank!
